The Nippongaishi Hall in Nagoya will welcome men's and women's 2017 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Champions Cup matches
Lausanne, Switzerland, November 18, 2016 - The Japan Volleyball Association (JVA) and the FIVB confirm the venues for the 2017 edition of the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Champions Cup today, including the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, the Nippongaishi Hall in Nagoya and the Osaka Municipal Central Gymnasium.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium (capacity 10,000) will host Women’s World Grand Champions Cup matches on September 5 and 6.Outside view of Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium.
The competition will then move to Nagoya from September 8 to 10 where it will take place at the Nippongaishi Hall (capacity 8,000).
In the Men’s World Grand Champions Cup, the Nippongaishi Hall will this time play host to the first two days of the competition on September 12 and 13.Nippongaishi Hall during the 2015 FIVB World Cup.
The second part of the competition will take place at the Osaka Municipal Central Gymnasium (capacity 8,200) from September 15 to 17.Osaka Municipal Gymnasium.
Next year's World Grand Champions Cup will be the seventh edition of the FIVB's quadrennial event for men's and women's national teams and the final highlight of the FIVB's 2017 volleyball calendar, which also features the FIVB Volleyball Club World Championships, the FIVB Volleyball World League and World Grand Prix and six Age-Category World Championships.
