2017 World Grand Champions Cup website launched

 

Will Zhu Ting lead China to victory at the 2017 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Champions Cup?

Lausanne, Switzerland, February 15, 2017 - The climax of this year's international volleyball calendar, the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Champions Cup 2017 will take place in Japan from September 5 to 10 (women's competition) and from September 12 to 17 (men's competition). The new competition website contains all the latest information about the event, which will feature the top teams in the world including reigning Olympic champions China (women) and Brazil (men).

This year's women's competition includes three teams from Asia - Olympic champions China, hosts Japan and Korea - one team from South America, Brazil - one team from Europe, Russia, and one team from the North, Central American and Caribbean Confederation (NORCECA), the United States. The men's competition will include Olympic champions Brazil from South America, France and Rio Olympics runners-up Italy from Europe, Iran and hosts Japan from Asia and the United States from the NORCECA Confederation.


The Nippongaishi Hall in Nagoya

The women's competition is scheduled to begin at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium on September 5 and 6 before moving to the Nippongaishi Hall in Nagoya from September 8 to 10. In the men's competition, the Nippongaishi Hall will welcome the first two days of competition on September 12 and 13 before the Osaka Municipal Central Gymnasium hosts matches from September 15 to 17.
